POWERVISION DEPLOYS E-COMMERCE WITH GREAT PLAINS INTEGRATION

COLUMBIA, MD - On October 16, 2000, PowerVision Corporation deployed a customized IT solution for integrating the e-Commerce activities on Contio’s SeminarPlanet.com Web site with its new Great Plains Dynamics accounting system.

Developed by PowerVision, Contio's SeminarPlanet.com web site enables visitors to register for events such as professional conferences and pay registration fees online via credit card. Before listing their upcoming events on SeminarPlanet.com, organizations purchase a service contract, which can now be paid by credit card or purchase order.

To maintain accurate accounting records and facilitate the invoicing of customers, Contio needed a reliable means of transferring sales transaction data from SeminarPlanet.com’s Oracle 8i database to Dynamics. PowerVision installed and configured Contio’s Dynamics system, leveraging the capabilities of Dynamics' Integration Manager to facilitate its integration with SeminarPlanet.com. The data integration is run automatically overnight, and can also be run on demand by Contio’s accounting staff.
