PowerVision Delivers W&O Supply's MTR Management System
W&O
Supply Company, a leading distributor of marine and industrial
valves, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, delployed a document
management system based on DigitalVision. The system will handle
Material Testing Reports (MTRs) for thousands of products sold by
W&O Supply.
The
management of the MTR (Material Test Report) documentation is a
major, time-consuming administrative process at W&O Supply.
MTR documentation is a requirement from the customers in order to
assure complete delivery. Without providing these papers to the
customers, W&O Supply ran the risk of products being returned,
which inevitably forced more costly procurement measures as well
as an immediate increase in unwanted inventory. In the past, orders
have been cancelled due to the absence of MTRs with the delivery.
The cost of missing documentation was substantial in terms of lost
sales and customer satisfaction.
An automated MTR document management system based on DigitalVision
product would instantly resolve this issue on multiple levels. This
process would immediately eliminate redundant administrative tasks;
significantly reduce intra-company faxes and phone calls to locate
the documentation, while enhancing customer service levels by allowing
immediate and 24 x 7 access to the information on-line.
The
MTR Management System (MMS) has many features, including easy searches,
duplicate avoidance, many adminitrative functions, and versatile
reporting modules. Based on Tomcat Application server and Sybase
